Sport: Not The Happiest Place On Earth

The Anaheim Angels host my Red Sox tonight, taking the field for the first time since pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed, along with two others, in a terrible car wreck in Fullerton early Thursday morning.

One suspects there will be a vastly different feel to this one. Not necessarily a happy one, either. The times have told us, though, that the Angels -- who've been the best in the West for a long time under manager Mike Scioscia, will band together and rise to the occasion. I'd expect nothing less from professionals. I can also expect the Angels will win tonight. And, for whatever reason, the outcome of the game doesn't seem quite as important going in.

After (understandably) calling off Thursday nights game, it is important that the Angels get back to business...no matter how much doing so probably puts them off.
